Participation in Sustainability

Part of “thinking green” and beyond means joining with other organizations striving to make a difference.

"It is making sustainable efforts a part of your life and your daily routine."

April 2009:  America's Greenest Campus (AGC) is the first nationwide contest among colleges to reduce the carbon footprints of their students, faculty, alumni and staff. Using advanced carbon tracking and reduction software from Climate Culture, America's Greenest Campus tracks the participation and carbon reductions from campuses across the country.

Do you have an @riosalado.edu email address? Then you can register to help reduce Rio’s collective carbon footprint! By signing up at www.AmericasGreenestCampus.com, you can start helping Rio reach the top of the Leader Board and beat the competition in gaining the most members and highest carbon reduction per participant. The contest ends on October 5th, so sign up now at http://americasgreenestcampus.com.

Host of "Solutions for the First 100 Days" Web cast

Education for Global Warming Initiatives creates opportunities for person-to-person dialogue about climate solutions, and fosters education and action networks. The organization's mission is to stop global warming by promoting a clean energy future for America.

Rio Salado is proud to participate in this initiative, which will help prepare millions of students to become leaders in finding viable solutions to the challenge of global warming.
