More Information about Voting & Elections
Federal and state laws require colleges and universities to assist and inform students about voter registration and elections. In addition to these legal requirements Rio Salado College, as one of the Maricopa Community Colleges, believe strongly in preparing students for lives as active, informed, and engaged citizens and community members. In fact, "Civic Responsibility" is a value that is specified in Maricopa’s Mission Statement. We believe that voting is an essential aspect of being an engaged citizen, and is important to maintaining the effectiveness of our government and public policy processes.
