Rio Salado College puts you on the path to your ASU degree

Rio Salado College and Arizona State University can help you turn your college credits into a bachelor’s degree.

ASU and the Maricopa Community Colleges have formed an alliance to promote a seamless experience for students who want to earn an associate degree and bachelor’s degree.

More than 125 of ASU’s 250+ undergraduate degree programs are available through the Maricopa-ASU Pathway Program (MAPP). Many programs are available entirely online, including psychology, nursing, criminology and criminal justice, technical communication, and justice studies.

Advantages to studying at Rio Salado in a Maricopa-ASU Pathway Program:

  • Cost-effective pathway ensuring all courses transfer and apply to an ASU degree
  • Rio Salado courses begin every Monday - no semester restrictions
  • Accelerate your Rio Salado course completion time to 8 weeks with the 8-week option
  • Guaranteed admission to your ASU degree pathway program when all MAPP requirements are met
  • Eligibility for the ASU Tuition Commitment

  1. Call the Rio Salado Academic Advisement Team 480-517-8580 and tell any advisor you want to complete your Associate degree through Rio Salado College in one of the pathway plans.
  2. The advisor will explain how you can qualify to complete your degree and then seamlessly transfer to ASU in your designated plan.
  3. Enroll in classes with Rio Salado and accelerate toward your associate degree.
  4. Graduate from Rio Salado with a completed pathway plan, and you will automatically be guaranteed admission to ASU!
