What is Inclusiveness?
Inclusiveness is valuing internal and external customers as whole persons while respecting both differences and commonalities. Characteristics of inclusiveness include, but are not limited to:
- Seeking intercultural and social understanding and competence
- Promoting conditions and practices that are dignified and non-discriminatory
- Creating an environment that helps all feel included and develops their potential
- Understanding the needs of our diverse workforce and student populations

How has the portrayal of kids in movies changed with the times and surrounding social issues? Join Carol Scarafiotti, Rio’s film enthusiast, for a discussion of social issues relating to kids today as illustrated in various American and international movies. The films that will be highlighted are not movies for children but rather movies about children.
