Program Site
The Instituto Peruano de Publicidad (IPP) in Lima, Peru, has become known as one of the most modern and prestigious institutions in South America. Located in San Isidro, a residential and commercial neighborhood in a beautiful district of Lima, IPP offers classrooms equipped with state of the art audio and visual equipment, lecture halls, film studio, photography labs, and an extensive library.

Academic Program Highlights
Option I offers students the opportunity to study Spanish as a Second Language. Spanish language instruction is offered at all levels; additionally, students take literature, art, and history classes in English. Option II permits students with an advanced level of Spanish to enroll directly in IPP courses and to study publicity, design, and communications with Peruvian faculty and students.

For all courses taken at the Instituto Peruano de Publicidad where there are equivalent courses in the MCCCD, the official record for those credits will be posted on the MCCCD, Rio Salado College, transcript.

Eligibility:
2.5 GPA; 12-15 credit hours of spanish for Option II

Student Life
Students are housed in private homes or pensiones. Excursions to museums, colonial buildings, theaters, and recreational sites, as well as Cuzco and Machu Picchu are arranged regularly, and students have a range of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities available to them in Lima.

Costs
The cost of a semester may vary as changes occur in the economies and currencies of the U.S. and Peru. The factors listed below are used to calculate program costs.

  • Tuition at Rio Salado College (assessed according to the student's residency status).
  • Program costs in Peru, including instruction, housing, application and orientation fees, insurance, books and field trips.
  • Transportation to Peru.
Financial Aid
Any financial aid for which students are eligible during the course of their study at Rio Salado College, including Pell Grants, can be used toward the cost of the program in Peru.
