Program Site
The Moscow academy for the Humanities and Socail Sciences is located in Moscow, a treasure house of Russian culture, featuring many art museums, theaters, concert halls, and public libraries. The Institute of Youth is located on a 150-acre site in the Vykhino district, known for its parks and gardens, with easy access from downtown Moscow by bus and subway. Numerous shops, a movie theater, a museum, and an open air market are all within close proximity. The Institute is a State/Private higher educational institute with an academic faculty of 200 scholars and researchers. Its modern, well-equipped buildings include classrooms with televisions and VCRs, and a large library.

Academic Program Highlights:
Russian Language and Culture.

Russian Language Classes:
15 hours weekly for 3 weeks.

May 30 - July 24

9 credits

Weekend Excursions:
Ticket for a cultural event (theater, concert, circus, ballet, opera, or other) weekly. This does not include airfare, passport, and personal expenses.

The cost of a summer program may vary as changes occur in the economies and currencies of the U.S. and abroad. The factors listed below are used to calculate program costs.

  • Tuition at Rio Salado College (assessed according to the student’s residency status).
  • Program costs abroad, including instruction, housing, application and orientation fees, insurance, books and field trips.
  • Transportation to the designated country.‚

Including:
Instructional Costs abroad, administrative fees, room and board, cultural excursions, visa, and insurance.

Financial Aid
Any financial aid for which students are eligible during the course of their study at Rio Salado College, including Pell Grants, can be used toward the cost of the program in Russia.
