Computers have become an integral part of today’s society and, while computers have become increasingly sophisticated, so have the skills needed to repair them. The Computer Repair/Systems Maintenance program currently being offered at both Perryville and Lewis is designed to teach students the skills necessary to become functional technicians of computers in today’s operating environment.

Classes, including Computer Set Up and Maintenance, A+ Preparation, Computer Configuration and Enhancement, Customer Service and various others coupled with a “hands-on” experience provide the minimum requirements and terminology so students can enter the Computer Technician field in an entry level position and be prepared to test for A+ certification.

The hands on training mentioned earlier provides the students at Perryville and Lewis an opportunity to tear down, diagnose, upgrade and/or repair computer systems. Rio Salado College and Arizona Correctional Industries (ACI) are working together toward providing these services for the repair of Arizona Department of Corrections computer systems. In addition, students will be afforded the opportunity to give back to the community through repair and donation of computers to agencies and schools in need.
