Adult ACE
Mission: Adult ACE helps at-risk, financially disadvantaged and/or first generation college-bound adult students to complete their GED and transition to college.
Adult ACE Offers:
- A scholarship that covers up to 24 college credits + books (no cost to students)
- Free tutoring
- Free counseling
- Academic advising
- A jumpstart on college
- Flexible class offerings (online or in person)
- A comprehensive support system (how to manage time, cope with stress, stay healthy)
- Assistance transitioning from the Adult ACE Program into mainstream MCCCD classes
- Opportunities to expand cultural awareness
- Gain the tools necessary for college and career success
- Complete the GED
- Earn up to 24 college credits
- Develop the basic academic skills that are essential for college
- Empower students
- Create well-rounded college, career-minded students/community members
- Help students formulate goals and plans for achieving them
- Attend class two days a week (3 hours each) for four semesters
- Complete all assignments on time
- Maintain an “C” average
- Participate in workshops offered by the program
- Communicate with Adult ACE staff
