If you are an elementary teacher interested in teaching high school, a Middle Grade Endorsement will give you the ability to move to another grade level. In addition, if you are a high school teacher who wants to try teaching 5th or 6th grade, this endorsement makes that possible.

Endorsement requires:

• Valid Arizona Fingerprint clearance card (plastic) issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
• Valid Arizona Provisional or Standard teaching certificate (elementary or secondary)
• Six semester hours of courses in middle grade education
• Practicum or one year of verified teaching experience in grades 5-9
  (verified by letter from District Superintendent or Personnel Director)
