Rio Salado College (RSC), one of the nation's leading providers of online and distance learning, has created one of the nation's first Online Post Baccalaureate Teacher Prep Programs leading to elementary, secondary or special education teacher certification. Additionally, and in direct response to student and district requests, this Post Bacc program has led to the development of Baccalaureate Degree partnership agreements.

To provide quality service and feedback for Rio’s pre-service teachers, Rio relies on skilled certified master teachers in multiple positions: A) adjunct faculty members who teach online courses, B) practicum teachers who allow our pre-service teachers to come into their classrooms to observe, tutor and teach a lesson associated with the online course, C) cooperating teachers who train our pre-service teachers during a nine-week student teaching experience, and D) college supervisors who evaluate our student teachers.
