Admissions & Records

  • Transcript Requests
    Unofficial transcripts, or transcripts sent within the Maricopa District, are free of charge.
    Official transcripts are $5 each.
  • Prerequisite Verification Request Form (PDF)
    Individuals who have successfully completed courses at other U.S. regionally accredited universities and colleges and/or ACE evaluated programs and credits who would like to enroll in a Rio Salado class which requires a prerequisite must request an evaluation of these courses.
  • Transcript Evaluation Form (PDF)
    Individuals who have successfully completed courses at other U.S. regionally accredited universities and colleges and/or ACE evaluated programs and credits should request an evaluation of these courses for the purpose of establishing equivalency with Rio Salado College. Upon completion of the unofficial evaluation, you will be sent an email with a link to the Electronic Student File (ESF) which contains your check sheet and unofficial evaluation results.

    HB2008 - Maricopa Community Colleges Student Declaration of Citizenship or Status
    Only those with a lawful presence in the US may qualify for Maricopa County Community College District scholarships or federal financial aid. Any information you provide about your legal status when you apply for financial aid or scholarships may be subject to mandatory reporting to federal immigration authorities under Arizona law, A.R.S. §§1-501,1-502.
  • Proposition 300
    All students living in Arizona are required to fill out this form and submit proper documentation.  Proposition 300, passed by Arizona voters in November 2006, stipulates that college students who are not legal United States citizens or are without lawful immigration status must pay out-of-state tuition, and that persons who are not United States citizens and who are without lawful immigration status are not eligible for financial assistance using state money.
  • Domicile Affidavit (PDF)
    A one-year residency requirement is enforced in order for a student to be classified as an in-state student for tuition purposes.

Financial Aid

Testing

  • Placement Testing
    ACCUPLACER general information (available at all 6 service sites on a walk in basis) and study guide link.
  • Proctor Request form for tests (Online) Printable Proctor Request form (PDF)
    When students outside of Maricopa county require an in person exam to be proctored, they should fill out and submit the online proctor request form.
  • Proctor Verification forms 
    Are used by proctors who have administered Rio midterms and finals to students outside Maricopa County.
  • Non-Rio Salado proctored test request
    Form used by non-Rio Salado students wanting us to proctor a test for their college
  • Rio Midterms and Finals
    Available on a walk in basis at all service sites except Luke. No appointments necessary. Also students need to bring a current, recognizable photo ID to be admitted to the testing session.
  • Nursing Exams
    Rio Tempe and Rio Lifelong Learning Center at Surprise offers the NET and HESI-PN exams on a walk in basis Monday – Friday.
  • CLEP and DSST exams for Prior Learning
    CLEP and DSST exams are offered at the Tempe and Lifelong Learning Center in Surprise on a walk-in basis Monday – Friday.
