Electronic Student File System (ESF)
Rio Salado advisors use a dynamic web-based database called the Electronic Student File (ESF) system to create individualized check sheets, contact notes, and program plans for students. ESF helps you keep track of your academic progress, check the status of your transcripts, and contact your assigned advisor. It is secure and available online 24/7 with a valid username and password.
You may access your checksheet online by following the directions below:
- https://matrix.riosalado.edu/ (through Internet Explorer)
- Enter username and password.
- Your username is firstname.lastname.
- Your password will be "Rio" with the first two letters of your first name, the first three letters of your last name, and the last three digits of your social security number.
Example: If your name was John Smith and your SSN was 123456789 your username would be john.smith and your password would be Riojosmi789
- Click "ESF" to access your student file.
