Rio Salado College will offer courses in innovation!

In the new world where success is defined by talent, and where talent is defined as a combination of knowledge, creativity, and entrepreneurship, innovation curriculum is vital to employers and to individuals who want to improve their creativity, productivity and entrepreneurialism.

Rio is currently developing courses in innovation that will be offered in credit and non-credit formats, both in-person and online, for employers and individuals.

Rio’s innovation courses are the result of a $15 million Department of Labor investment and the team effort of 22 Continuous Quality Improvement Network (CQIN) colleges, as well as top notch innovators and creative minds from various backgrounds and disciplines including education, health care, hospitality, entertainment, marketing, retail, financial services, manufacturing, business, science, technology, and fine arts.

The courses lead individuals on a structured journey through the innovation process as they master the competencies for innovation:

Everything about Rio’s innovation courses, including the teaching methods, is deliberate to the goal of reconnecting adults with the foundations of creative and innovative thinking by stimulating both sides of the brain. Instead of textbooks and lectures, learners are exposed to videos, animated stories, and game-like activities. The teachings are relevant to everyone from technicians, administrators, artists, and engineers to CEOs and those who are self-employed. .
