BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE REQUIREMENTS

Pursuit of the BA in Police Science will require 16 credit hours of advanced studies, which may be obtained through Rio Salado College, and 44 credit hours of Professional Police Science coursework from Ottawa University.

All coursework may be taken via distance education and the Professional Police Science coursework may also be taken at an Ottawa University Center.

ADVANCED STUDIES

With the completion of an Associate's degree, 64 credits are awarded. 16 additional credits can be taken to assist the student in transferring the maximum amount of lower division credits. Recommended electives span the disciplines and are intended to broaden the student's knowledge and skill as a police officer. The electives may be selected from, but not limited to, Psychology, Spanish, Sociology, Business, and Communication. These courses may be taken via distance learning through Rio Salado College.
