Adults Achieving a College Education (AACE)

Are you interested in college and ready to commit to completing a degree, certificate, or a workforce training?

Rio Salado now offers an opportunity to make a smooth transition to higher education through Adults Achieving a College Education (Adult ACE) - a scholarship based college to career preparation program to students enrolled in the our High School Equivalency (HSE, formerly known as GED) and high level English Language Acquisition for Adults (ELAA, formerly known as ESL) Adult ACE helps students bring their academic skills in Math, Reading and English up to college level while completing their HSE or ELAA class.

To qualify for this scholarship program, you must:

  • be 16 or older and attend HSE or high level ELAA classes at Rio Salado or have your GED
  • attend an information session
  • complete the application packet in its entirety and submit it to your advisor by the due date

Adult ACE students attend their college classes at a location of their choice and complete the following course sequence as a cohort.

  • Personalized academic advisement and support
  • Career and personal counseling
  • Assistance with financial aid, registration, and other college services
