Dance Education

The Teacher in Residence program allows students who already hold a bachelor's degree to receive employment in a classroom while simultaneously completing their education coursework toward certification.

Students in the Dance Education program are preparing to teach grades
K-12. This program requires 24-30 credits including in-person field experience work in both elementary and secondary teaching methods as well as 12 credits of full-time student teaching. Students must verify content proficiency through the passage of a subject knowledge exam (AEPA/NES).

If outside of Maricopa County - check to Arizona Department of Education (ADE) for $60 per content area + $60 for provisional SEI. Student
Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card** Student
Formal admissions packet to Rio Salado, including transcripts* showing a minimum 3.0 GPA. Student
