The Teacher-In-Residence intern program allows students who already hold a bachelor's degree to receive employment in a classroom while simultaneously completing their education coursework toward certification.
Students in the Special Education program are preparing to teach grades
K-12. Special Education certifications include Cross-categorical, Emotional Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mental Challenges, Orthopedic Impairments, and Other Health Impairments. This program requires 51 credits including in-person field experiences in many of the courses as well as 8 credits of full-time student teaching. Students must verify content proficiency through the passage of a federally-approved content exam (AEPA/NES).
