Law Enforcement Technology

Advisory Group

One of the requirements of the accrediting body for Rio Salado College is that an advisory committee be established to advise Rio Salado regarding the Law Enforcement Technology Degree and Certificate Programs. It is with the help of the advisory committee that the program develops, and maintains viability within the police community. Other specific functions of our Advisory Committee are the following:

  • Serve as a communication channel between the college and the law enforcement community

  • Insure that Rio Salado remains cognizant of changes in the profession, and the specific needs of agencies such as yours

  • Assist in the development and evaluation of programs, through a continuous assessment of objectives and competencies

  • Insure Rio's responsiveness to the criminal justice community in general

Occupational advisory committees are required to meet annually to maintain the effectiveness of the programs. Members of the committee represent the leadership and practitioners of law enforcement throughout Maricopa County.
