What is a Progam Clinical site?
Rio Salado nursing students may be placed at various health care agencies across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Long term care facilities are generally used for Block I, and area hospitals for Block 2-4. Rio is currently partnering w/ Maricopa Medical Center for all lab experiences. Students should expect to spend 2 days each week (8 to 12-hour shifts) in the lab or clinical settings. Schedules will vary and may be weekday or weekends, or a combination of both. Schedules are set far in advance and will be provided upon admission to the program. Students must have flexible schedules to accommodate clinical requirements.
