The need for component building is increasing and becoming a recognized form of construction where fast growth, mass customization and the need for quality exist. Students participating in this program at ASPC-Lewis learn the practical skills needed to function in the industry through the integration of computer aided design and manufacturing.

This program teaches hands-on construction skills while focusing on building design and implementation, grid construction and design, remote fabrication and process quality that is pragmatic and economically efficient. Students also learn to prepare detailed construction and assembly drawings; and, to manufacture and assemble precisely designed components into structures. Rio Salado students are learning building skills and construction techniques that will enable them to be competitive in today’s job market.
