When you choose a link from Articles or E Books on the Rio Salado Library page, you will be required to log in. Access to these resources is reserved for registered students, faculty and staff of Rio Salado College.

Students registered prior to February 2008

Username: Your first name.last name (username is all lowercase, limited to the first 18 characters.  Do not include hyphens, spaces or apostrophes).

Password: The word "Rio" and the first 2 letters of your First Name, the first 3 letters of your Last Name, (if your name is less than 3 letters, use your entire last name), and the last 3 digits of your Student ID#. The password is case sensitive; you must capitalize the "R" in Rio.

For Example, if your name is "Mary Jones" and your Student ID# is 123456789 - your username and password would look like this on your login screen:

Username: mary.jones
Password: Riomajon789

Students registered after February 2008, New Students, or Forgotten Password

Visit Rio Salado Self Service or call the Technology Support Helpdesk at 480-517-8600 to get your username and password.

Troubleshooting for Library Access

If you have established your username and password and are not able to log in, check the steps below:

• Refresh and clear your cache. If you have accessed these databases before, your browser might be pulling an expired session from your cache.
• If you are accessing from your work location, your company may have installed firewalls that have address blocks. Please check with your computer systems personnel to see whether this is in place.
• If you are accessing from your home computer, do you have anti-virus or Internet security software installed? If so, it must be completely disabled before you can access the online databases.
