ASSET and ACCUPLACER Testing Information
Students entering Rio Salado College will be offered the online Accuplacer placement exams or the paper/pencil ASSET tests. The placement scores are used to recommend classes that match each student's individual skills.
- Placement tests are offered at several locations. View the testing sites and times.
- Assessment tests are provided at no charge to students.
- All testers ARE REQUIRED to present valid and current picture identification before testing. We also require that you have a Student ID number. For information about Student ID numbers, please contact Admissions via e-mail at admissions.info@mail.riosalado.edu or via phone at 480-517-8540.
- Students are permitted one retest (after a 24-hour waiting period) in each subject area per year.
- Assessment scores, for placement into classes such as English, reading and math, will be valid for two years from the date of the original test or retest. The only exception to this the reading exemption which does not expire.
