Access RioLearn with your MEID (username) and password, then review the following:

Your Maricopa Student Center

Be sure to log in to your my.maricopa.edu Student Center throughout the semester to check for important messages,
to-do list items, and to access your Maricopa Student Gmail account.

REQUIRED ACTIVITIES

Follow these instructions so there will be no delay in your classes.

Get textbooks/course materialsDO BEFORE START OF CLASS

  • Find your required textbooks in the course syllabus within RioLearn.
  • Check the RSC Bookstore website for textbooks.
  • Eligible financial aid students can use Book Advances to purchase textbooks.

8-WEEK OPTIONDUE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS

  • Some Rio Salado classes are offered in an 8-week format.
  • You must choose the 8-week option within seven days of the class start date.
  • Do not submit any assignments prior to selecting this option.

FIRST ASSIGNMENTDUE FIRST WEEK OF CLASS

  • If you do not complete the first assignment in RioLearn, you may be dropped for non-participation.
  • Questions about how to submit your assignments? Call 480-517-8380.

COMPLETE NEW STUDENT ORIENTATIONNSO101

  • A FREE, non-credit class designed for new students.
  • Available in RioLearn the Monday after you register for your first class.
  • Learn about college policies, financial options, student success tips and more.
  • The class will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
