Winter Break News
Each year, most Rio Salado departments and the Maricopa Community Colleges close for winter break in late December. This year’s closure will further limit in-person services to help circumvent anticipated increases in COVID-19 cases.
Please take note of the following updates about services and hours so you can plan accordingly.
- All in-person services will be suspended Dec. 21, 2020- Jan. 11, 2021. Dental program students will be an exception.
- Remote student services will be available Dec. 21-23, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Most college departments will be closed Dec. 24, 2020 - Jan. 3, 2021 for the winter break. We will resume regular business hours Jan. 4. Your 24/7 services such as RioLearn, Technology Support Helpdesk, Ask a Librarian and My.Maricopa.edu will remain available for all of you online warriors studying over the break.
- Some in-person services may resume after Jan. 11 by appointment only, depending on COVID-19 reports.

If you have a request for a department closed during the break, please complete this Request Form and a staff member will follow up with you after Jan. 4.
