Get a Free Vaccine at Our Student Clinic and You Could Receive a $50 Gift Card!

The health and well-being of our community is very important to all of us at Rio Salado College. That’s why we’re partnering with the One Community initiative to provide free COVID-19 vaccinations to our students at the following Rio Salado locations:

Southern: 
3320 S. Price Rd., Tempe, AZ

First Dose:  Monday, September 13, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
Second Dose**:  Monday, October 11, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. -- *CANCELLED

Thomas:

First Dose:  Wednesday, September 15, 2021, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Students who receive their first vaccination on one of those clinic days will be eligible for a $50* gift card to Fry's or Safeway. These gift cards will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Vaccinations are available on a walk-in basis. No appointment necessary!

Please note: This clinic is specifically for students and employees. It is not open to the general population. The booster will also be available for eligible employees and students during these clinic hours.

In order to receive their vaccine, students must:

  • show their Rio student status by using an MCCCD student ID or their college schedule (print out or screenshot);
  • receive their first vaccination at the vaccination clinic at one of our designated Rio locations (see above). Only those students who receive their first vaccination at the Rio locations will be eligible to receive a gift card (while supplies last).

*Please note -- Gift cards will only be given for the first vaccination dose, not the second vaccination dose. Employees are not eligible for gift cards.
**Second dose will be scheduled at the time of first vaccination.

Clinic will be providing the Pfizer**, Moderna* and Johnson & Johnson* vaccines.

*All Rio students and employees 18 and older are eligible for the vaccine.
**All Rio students and employees ages 12-17 are eligible for the Pfizer vaccine. While supplies last.
