Ideals of Belonging: Continuing the Legacy of Civil and Personal Rights

You're Invited!

You’re cordially invited to join us for the next installation in our series of discussions on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Collaborative Forum between Rio Salado College and American Public University System (APUS). The forum is part of an ongoing effort of both institutions to understand and address social justice and economic mobility issues.

Join us for a panel discussion of relevant topics featuring students, faculty, and subject-matter experts.

The discussion will focus on the continued theme of belonging and feature political advocate Alejandro Chavez as the keynote speaker. Mr. Chavez will draw upon his experience championing the rights of the Hispanic community, as he continues the legacy that began with his grandfather, civil-rights icon Cesar Chavez.

Mr. Chavez has also spent years organizing and running successful political campaigns for Rep. Veronica Escobar (D-TX), Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), and, most recently, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ).
