Join Rio Salado College’s Virtual Movie Camp in July!

Rio Salado students and alumni are invited to join us for virtual Summer Movie Camp in July to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Join us as we explore the movie Crip Camp (view for free here), an Academy Award nominated documentary about a 1971 summer camp in New York for teens with disabilities. The film focuses on several campers who turned themselves into activists for the disability rights movement and follows their fight for accessibility legislation.

The summer movie camp will feature discussions about what living with a disability was, is, and will be in the coming years.

Summer movie camp is free, and meets virtually Wednesday mornings in July, from 7:30-9 a.m.
