Asian Pacific Islander Events in May

Join Rio Salado College to honor Asian American Pacific Islander (API) Heritage Month! We invite you to several virtual events as we honor and celebrate the API heritage.     Join us during the All-Employee meeting as we get the opportunity to hear from our Asian Pacific Islander students. Please email in advance for this meeting. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
  • API Heritage Month Cooking Demonstration Zoom Event - Wednesday, May 26, 2021, Noon
    In honor of Asian Pacific Islander Heritage month, join the cafe and fellow employees on zoom as Chef Ken teaches us how to make a fresh and healthy chicken stir-fry and rice in the comfort of your own home with the newest RioFresh kit. You can also purchase the RioFresh meal kit here; order by May 23.  Ingredient Box Pick Up will be on Tuesday, May 25, from 7 a.m-5 p.m at Rio Salado Tempe. Register in advance for this meeting here. You are invited to join us in celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) virtually on Thursday, May 20, 2021, from 1-2 p.m. Rio Salado’s Disability Resources and Services department is partnering with our Instructional Design Technology department to host a discussion around the idea of public accommodation.
