Rio Salado, APUS to host Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Forum March 25
Join us for the inaugural Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) Collaborative Forum between Rio Salado College and American Public University System on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 3:30–4:30 p.m. AZ time (6:30–7:30 p.m. ET).
The theme of this event is "Aligning our Institutions with the Ideals of Belonging." The forum is part of an ongoing effort of both institutions to understand and address social justice and economic mobility issues.
The will include our keynote speaker, Dr. Terrell Strayhorn, a student panel and a question and answer session to conclude the event.
Strayhorn is President/CEO and Senior Research Scientist of Do Good Work Educational Consulting LLC. He also works as Provost and Senior Vice President, Academic Affairs at Virginia Union University and previously was a Professor of Urban Education at LeMoyne-Owen College, where he served as Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs.
Prior to that he was on the faculty at The Ohio State University, where he served as Director of the Center for Higher Education Enterprise (CHEE) and Founding Director of the Center for IDEAS within the College of Education and Human Ecology.
