Obtaining an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Applicants interested in taking any Education course with a required field experience or who are seeking admissions into one of the approved Educator Preparation programs are required to submit verification of fingerprint clearance. A valid fingerprint card must display an IVP number on the front of the card. If the IVP is not displayed, follow the direction below to obtain the appropriate clearance.
Rio Salado College does not request field experience placement for courses without verification of a valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card on file.
Be sure to obtain an IVP clearance card prior to enrolling in courses requiring field experience, otherwise enrollment will need to be canceled until the IVP card has been received.

All applicants must hold a valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identify Verified prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card: To apply follow the directions as outlined by the Arizona Department of Education.
NOTE: This process can take anywhere from ten day to 12 weeks.
