Admission Requirements
Admission requirements include:
- Baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution. Official transcripts are required for Formal Admission.
- Completion of two letters of recommendation
- IVP Fingerprint clearance
- Biographical Information
- Star Teacher Assessment: After submitting your online application to Rio Salado College’s Post Baccalaureate Teacher Certification program (Traditional or Teacher in Residence), applicants will receive an email from forms@riosalado.edu confirming that the application has been received. The email contains a link to register for and complete the Star Teacher assessment. There are no additional costs to complete the assessment. This assessment must be completed prior to acceptance into the program and will take approximately 30 minutes to complete.

- Enter your MEID@maricopa.edu (MEID = series of letters and numbers) and password.

- All EDU courses must meet an overall GPA of 3.0 to move from Level I to Level II and prior to Student Teaching.
- Courses transferred into the Traditional Program count towards this calculation.
- Courses with a "D" or "F" must be retaken regardless of GPA.
