RioLearn is the college's online learning portal where you'll take your classes. Go to the free, interactive RioLearn demonstration now to learn how to:
- Access your online class, syllabus, lessons and gradebook
- Communicate with your instructor
- Track your progress using RioCompass
You'll use your MEID (your username) and password to log in to RioLearn. Review these helpful items and perform any tasks:

Log in to the Student Center
Log in to your Student Center regularly to check for important messages, access your Maricopa Student Gmail account and find items that have been added to your To Do list.
Prepare Now to Get a Head Start on Your Classes
Gather Your Class Materials
Before your class begins:
- Learn which class textbooks/materials you'll need: Log in to your Student Center or review your course syllabus in RioLearn
- Check the Rio Salado College Bookstore for textbooks and supplies
- Book Advances allow students to use anticipated financial aid award money to purchase textbooks/supplies before classes begin
Consider the 8-Week Class Option
Must be selected within 7 days of the class start date
- Only some Rio Salado classes are offered in an 8-week format
- The condensed 8 week option may not be suitable for all students
- Don't submit any assignments before selecting this option
- Tip: Speak with an academic advisor to learn which classes are right for your chosen path
Submit Your First Class Assignment
Your first assignment is due the first week of class
- You could be dropped from a class if you fail to submit your class's first assignment in RioLearn
- Log in to RioLearn before your class begins to see if there's an assignment that will be due

Complete New Student Orientation
NSO101 New Student Orientation Class
- It's a free, non-credit class that only takes a few hours to finish
