What Are Fast Track Programs?
The average associate degree program consists of 60 to 70+ credit hours. Fast track programs are credentials that can be completed on a much shorter timeline. Each fast track requires a different number of credit hours: some may take as many as 20, others could be no more than a handful.

Need help paying for school? The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation offers fast track scholarships. Please note that not all fast track programs are eligible for the scholarship, so check the program page before applying. The foundation also has a general scholarship application that opens every fall and spring that lets you apply for hundreds of scholarships with just one application!

Your Classes Start On Your Time
Rio Salado’s online classes are asynchronous. That means they don’t have a set start time. You don’t have to show up bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 8 a.m. to take your class; it starts when YOU log into your online classroom, morning, afternoon, or night. Asynchronous classes provide you the flexibility to take classes during the most optimal times in your day when you can work without distraction. Classes can have weekly deadlines and exams you have but you have control over WHEN you’ll lock in and take care of your coursework.
