Neil Giuliano, President/CEO of Greater Phoenix Leadership

Rio Salado College will co-sponsor and host the 2022 Tempe Chamber of Commerce Business Academy beginning Tuesday, January 11.

Started as a virtual program in 2020, the program’s curriculum will continue to be developed by the Chamber’s Businesses Innovation and Strategy Council and will now take place on campus at Rio Salado College. This program serves both organizations’ missions to serve the educational needs of local business and industry sectors.

Academy participants will receive structured training in various disciplines ranging from leadership to marketing to human resources to finance. The program will run monthly from January to June 2022, consisting of six 90-minute classes taught by expert instructors. Those who complete the Academy will receive a digital badge and certificate of completion.

“Rio Salado College welcomes the opportunity to provide professional development to business leaders and lifelong learners in Tempe,” said Rio Salado College President Kate Smith. “We recognize the critical importance of providing the latest industry skills and best practices as business practices continue to evolve. We are honored to partner with the Tempe Chamber.”

“We’re looking forward to this year’s Business Academy in partnership with Rio Salado College,” said Anne Gill, Interim CEO of the Tempe Chamber of Commerce  “The program’s curriculum provides an opportunity for Tempe professionals to join their peers to better their business knowledge.”
