A good education can open new job opportunities and increase your earning potential compared to workers who do not have a college degree. It’s a long-term investment that can yield major rewards down the line, but like all investments it requires quite a bit of buy-in. Paying for college can be stressful, especially when juggling household expenses and other responsibilities. To help ease that stress, the ten Maricopa Community Colleges offer a scholarship program that can provide much-needed support to eligible students.
The Maricopa Promise Scholarship is a program that awards eligible students from any of the Maricopa Community Colleges with $600 for four consecutive semesters. This money will go toward the cost of tuition and attendance. Maricopa Promise Scholars will also be granted access to a free suite of support services to assist them during their academic journey.
This scholarship funding is be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t wait until the last minute: check the eligibility requirements below and apply today!

Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible as a Maricopa Promise Scholars, you must fulfill the following requirements:
- Earned a high school degree or equivalency
- Enrolled or plans to enroll in a minimum of six credit hours
- Submitted a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Active admissions application on file at a Maricopa Community College
- Eligible for in-state tuition classification rates (when applying and while attending)
- Eligible for federal Pell grant
- New student to postsecondary education
- Declared a financial aid eligible certificate, associate, or bachelor's program
- Meets the minimum standards of Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation General Scholarship Fall 2026 Deadline Approaches
Looking for other scholarship opportunities? The Maricopa Community Colleges Foundation has two main scholarship cycles each year. Any Maricopa Community College student is encouraged to apply, including clock and credit hour students, as well as students paying out-of-state tuition. The FAFSA is not required, all GPAs are welcome! This is one application for many different scholarships.
The Fall 2026 application cycles ends April 30. Awarding/notifications will begin in late June
