Foster Youth Student Champions

Rio Salado College is in support of the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) Foster Youth Student Bridging Success Initiative aimed at increasing college attendance and completion rates among students aging out of the foster care system.

We have college staff and representatives who have received training about the potential challenges a youth aging out of care may face navigating higher education. They are committed to advocating for your success. Look for this symbol on campus to find a foster care youth champion. Anywhere you see it, you will find someone who is committed to helping you take the next step in your journey towards completing your academic goals:
