Fall classes are starting soon. If you’re looking for help paying for college, the Maricopa Community Colleges District is offering a scholarship to help reduce financial barriers that may keep Maricopa County students from continuing their education. The Maricopa Promise Scholarship is available to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis, providing funds and additional support services to help students achieve their academic goals.
What Does the Scholarship Provide?
All recipients of the Maricopa Promise Scholarship are awarded:
- $600 toward their cost of attendance;
- Wraparound student support services;
- Scholarship support for up to four consecutive semesters (excluding summer); and
- Use of the scholarship at any Maricopa Community College.
Am I Eligible?
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must meet the following requirements::
- Have graduated from a public, private, home, or online high school, or earned a state-accredited GED before enrolling.
- Be within two years of high school graduation when enrolling at a Maricopa Community College, or be 25 years of age or older and not have a prior postsecondary degree.
- Qualify for Arizona/Maricopa resident tuition.
- Be admitted to a Maricopa Community College.
- Be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program with at least 6 credit hours.
- Have submitted a FAFSA, be Pell Grant eligible, and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements.

Is There a Deadline?
The Promise scholarship is first-come, first-serve. Funding is limited so you are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
