The SpouseWorks Scholarship
Military spouses deserve a high-quality education leading to an in-demand career. They also need a career path that's portable so that relocation never gets in the way of reaching their goals.
The SpouseWorks Scholarship program provides $4,000 for education and training in most Rio Salado College programs, including (most programs offered online):
- Business and management
- Education
- Financial services
- Health services
- Homeland security
- Information technology
- View all programs
The SpouseWorks Scholarship $4,000 in financial assistance is not limited to these Rio programs. Contact your Military One Stop representative if you have other education or training ideas.

Applying for The SpouseWorks Scholarship
To apply for $4,000 in The SpouseWorks Scholarship financial assistance and enroll at Rio Salado College:
- Set up a profile for The SpouseWorks Scholarship.
- Review and digitally sign (by entering your username and password) The SpouseWorks Scholarship online Statement of Understanding (SOU) Terms and Conditions.
- Use the School Search function under the Resources tab. You can search by RIO or the State of Arizona.
- Develop a Career and Training Plan as soon as possible. Students will need to complete the Transcript Evaluation Request Form. Any and all prior education must be evaluated before enrollment. The SpouseWorks Scholarship does not reimburse for classes that have already started.
- Once the Transcript Evaluation Request Form is processed, your assigned Military Academic Advisor will contact you. They will discuss your The SpouseWorks Scholarship Education and Training Plan (E&TP) and assist you with enrollment in classes.
