MGT229 (3 Credits)

Covers management concepts and applications for business, industry, and government organizations. Prerequisites: None.

MGT251 (3 Credits)

Analysis of motivation, leadership, communications, and other human factors. Cultural differences that may create conflict and affect morale individually and within organizations. Prerequisites: None. MGT101 or MGT175 or MGT229 suggested, but not required.

MGT253 (3 Credits)

Starting, organizing, and operating a small business, including location, finance management processes, advertisement and promotion, credit, inventory control and ethics. Prerequisites: None.

MGT276 (3 Credits)

Human resource planning, staffing, training, compensating, and appraising employees in organizations. Prerequisites: None. MGT101 or MGT175 or MGT229 suggested, but not required.

MGT286 (3 Credits)

Techniques and methodology for coordinating and monitoring effective employment selection practices. Includes description of employment functions, staffing analysis, employment recruitment and advertising, applicant screening, interviewing and reference checking, employee selection and placement within a human resources division.
