Basic dental knowledge for the non-dental person seeking to be employed in a dental office or enroll in the Community Dental Health Coordinator (CDHC) program. This course will include a brief introduction of dentistry, infection control, basic scheduling process, HIPAA, dental disease process and prevention, tooth morphology and numbering systems, oral pathology and an overview of dental procedures and specialties. There will be observation hours at a local dental office in the student's community.
