If you want a career that is both personally and professionally fulfilling and you enjoy interacting with people, consider a career as a dental assistant or hygienist. Both are in-demand positions that form a critical part of a dental team’s success.

Our Dental program offers paths for both careers — with instructors who have real-world experience and will teach you essential skills and safety guidelines. Dental assistants support the dental team during a variety of clinical and administrative procedures. In this program, you’ll learn how to work with, record, and interpret patient data, as well as how to document diagnoses, treatment plans, and performed procedures. We will also teach you how to manage referrals and lab cases.

Dental hygienists assess and diagnose the oral health of patients, assist the dentist, and take and develop x-rays. A dental hygienist requires good hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail. In the program, you’ll learn to perform a preliminary exam and teeth cleaning. As a licensed dental hygienist, you may be employed in a general or specialty dental practice in private or public healthcare settings.
