Rio Salado College Honors Your Achievements

The Honors Program offers a variety of scholarships to reward students who maintain a GPA at or above 3.25. Part-time, full-time, traditional, non-traditional, dual enrollment, and dental students are all welcome to apply!

Chancellor's Scholarship

Chancellor's Scholarship

One scholarship awarded annually that covers tuition and fees for one full year, up to 18 credits per semester, to a Honors Achievement Award student.

Foundation Scholarship

Foundation Scholarship

Qualifying applicants must also qualify for the Honors Achievement Award and be enrolled at least 6 credit hours per semester for the upcoming academic year.

Study Abroad Opportunity

  • Application Open: October 15, 2024-January 5, 2026
  • Must submit a program deposit by January 5, 2026 at 5pm.
  • Must be in an approved degree program at Rio Salado College.
  • Must meet course applicability requirements.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

BEFORE applying for a scholarship, students must:

  • Apply to and be accepted into an RSC study abroad program PRIOR to the scholarship application deadline.
  • Be admitted to Rio Salado College (if not already a current student).
  • Make a program fee confirmation deposit of $500 to Cashier Services by January 5, 2026.  Cashier Services can be reached at 480.517.8330.

Honors Program Eligibility

Eligibility for an Honors Scholarship at Rio Salado (HAA, PHS, Chancellor, Foundation):

  • Your first course must be taken at Rio Salado College
  • You must have completed 12 credit hours at Rio
  • You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25

  • Honors Spring enrollment is from November 1 - March 15.
  • Rio has 16-semester start dates per fall and spring term.
