Verify Student Identity

To qualify for certain benefits, you are required to submit a copy of a valid form of identification (ID). The documentation table below lists acceptable documents you can use to verify your identity. You can submit your identity verification documents using e-forms. The expected processing time is 10 business days.

Students Living in Arizona

Verification of U.S. citizenship or lawful presence is required by the state of Arizona to be eligible for in-state tuition rates.

MCCCD Domicile Affidavit

A one-year residency requirement is enforced in order for a student to be classified as an in-state student for tuition purposes. There are two forms to choose from: Independent StudentDependent Student (dependents of parent or spouse) or Veteran Students.

How to Submit Verification Documents

Verification documents must be submitted in color (not black or white). The expected processing time is 10 business days.

  • Rio Salado College accepts documents online and in-person or by mail:
    • Online ID Verification Process
      • Have an acceptable form of ID ready before you begin. This may include a state-issued driver’s license or ID, U.S. passport, permanent resident card, military ID, other government-issued photo ID, or a high school ID with a birth certificate (full list is above). You may need color (not black/white) images of both the front and back.
      • Log in to your Maricopa Student Center using your MEID and password.
      • In your task list, look for Submit ID for Authentication and click the task button to begin.
      • Select the correct form link: one is for dual enrollment or concurrent students under 18, and another is for adult students registering for classes.
      • Upload your ID through the Student Information System, confirm the type of ID, select the issuing state with the dropdown button (if needed).
      • Verification may take up to 10 business days.
