A college transcript is an official record of a student's academic performance and history at a college or university. It includes detailed information such as the courses taken, grades received, credit hours earned, and any degrees or certifications awarded. Transcripts may also list honors, awards, and any academic probation or disciplinary actions.

Submit Transcripts to Rio Salado

If you are planning to transfer to Rio Salado to complete a certificate or degree program, you can submit your prior transcripts for transfer credit evaluation. Your prior credits will be assessed to determine if they can be applied toward the Rio Salado certificate/degree program requirements. Transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution to:

The Maricopa Community College District accepts foreign transcript evaluations from members of the National Associate of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) as part of the evaluation process.

Request Rio Salado Transcripts

You can request official transcripts of your Maricopa Community College records. Official transcripts are processed by our approved vendor Parchment. The cost of each official transcript is $5. Call 480-517-8540 for more information.

To transfer your credits to another college or a university: 

  • Request that an official transcript be sent from Rio Salado College to your transferring institution
    • To ensure the quickest delivery, order your transcripts online
    • Rio Salado does not print official transcripts for in-person pickup
      • Note: Courses you took and completed within the Maricopa Community Colleges community are automatically sent to other other colleges in the Maricopa Community Colleges to which you have been accepted.
  • There is a $5 charge for each transcript you request
    • Accepted payments include Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. There is no fee for unofficial transcripts

Methods for Requesting Your Rio Salado Transcripts

You can request your Rio Salado transcripts using any of the following methods:

Option One: Portal.Maricopa (Recommended)

  1. Go to portal.maricopa.edu and log in using your MEID and password. You can retrieve your password or reactivate your student ID (MEID) at Student Password and MEID.
  2. Click Transcript.
  3. Before ordering your official transcript, print and download your unofficial transcript. This step allows you to confirm that your grades shown in RioLearn have posted to your official record. View this information under the Class Details heading.
  4. After confirming that your course grades shown on the unofficial transcript are correct, click Request Official Transcript.
  5. Follow the prompts and complete the online form.

Option Two: Student Center

  1. Go to riosalado.edu/students and log in to your Student Center. You can retrieve your password or reactivate your student ID (MEID) at Student Password and MEID.
  2. Hover over Academics, then click the Other Academic... option in the drop-down menu that displays.
  3. Select the Request Transcript option from the drop-down menu.
  4. Then, click the arrow located on the right side of the window.
  5. Follow the prompts and complete the online form.

Option 3: Parchment

Official transcripts from Maricopa Community Colleges transcripts can be ordered at Parchment the official transcript service provider. Using this service requires you to complete, sign and submit an authorization form. Submit the form directly to Parchment. An authorization e-form is also available via email.
