Investing in myself

I went to college right out of high school but stopped and started again many times. I am finally working towards completing my degree using the tuition reimbursement offered from my employer! The cost at Maricopa has allowed me to get the most bang for my buck. Since returning in 2018 and enrolling at Maricopa Community Colleges, I have obtained the Data Analytics certificate. With only a few courses left, I will soon be able to add a degree in Motion Picture, Television, and New Media Production with a Motion Picture Production Specification to my skill set.

Through the many Maricopa Community Colleges' campuses, I can obtain credits in courses that are meaningful to my desires and passion. Attending online classes specifically at Rio has allowed me the flexibility necessary to work full time, raise a family and still work towards a degree.

College at 43 has not been super easy, but ultimately I have continued because I want to show my daughters that hard work pays off.  If I had a magic ball, I would like to work for a studio or station that produces soap operas, game shows, or television sitcoms, anything that will allow me to continue to live my best life.
