Does your career goal require a bachelor's degree? If so, you're working on it now with your associates degree at Rio Salado College. Your Rio Salado College Advisor will help you select courses that will first, satisfy your degree requirements at Rio and then, apply to your future university degree.

The Maricopa Community College District has partnerships with Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, the University of Arizona, and more than 40 other universities and college. Your Rio advisor can help you with transfer tools on our website, transfer page, and AZTransfer.com. We’re ready to help you to prepare for university transfer so your classes will move into your future program seamlessly.

You have many great choices when it comes to university transfer. In addition to working with your advisor and Rio, you should reach out to your future university and speak with a representative. This can be by email, phone, in person or a virtual meeting. Maricopa Community College District hosts a yearly online transfer fair where you can speak to multiple university representatives. This year, it’s on Feb. 28.

So what should you ask when meeting with a university representative?  See some suggestions below:

  • What is the best way to explore degrees at your school?
  • How can I tell where the degree is available (either in-person or online)?
  • What are your admission requirements?
  • What is your application deadline?
  • How do I have my prior credits evaluated?
  • What is the cost of tuition at your school?
  • What is the financial aid process at your school? What are deadlines?
  • How do I find available scholarships? What are the deadlines?

Best wishes with your educational goals and university transfer plans!
