In addition, courses in professional knowledge in career and technical education may be used to meet the requirements by the Arizona Department of Education. Refer to the Arizona Department of Education.
Certification Deficiencies
Applicants may seek to enroll in coursework to meet initial licensure deficiencies and/or deficiencies that may have been issued at the receipt of a standard license in AZ. Student teaching is NOT allowed under this option.
Professional Growth/Personal Interest
Professional development coursework can be completed by any applicant that is seeking to improve themselves through learning. All coursework is at the discretion of the applicant and never includes Student Teaching.
