DEIB Resources
The Office of Disability Resources and Services offers many resources and services for students with documented disabilities at no cost. Accommodations include Sign Language interpreters, text in alternative format, readers/scribes and extended test taking time.
Rio also offers a Solution Center for students who feel that they have been treated unfairly or unjustly. We follow the administrative policies of the Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), including those related to non-discrimination, instructional and non-instructional grievances, student conduct code, Title IX Sexual Harassment and scholastic standards.

The Rio Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council (DEIB) has put together a Glossary of words that provides definitions for many of the words/terms that are an important part of the DEIB work that we do as a college. Take a moment to explore the list and see what words/terms you already know and what learning can come from the list. As with all attempts at lists like this, it can never be completely all inclusive of every term or word. If you have suggestions for additions, please email office.president@riosalado.edu.
