Step 2: Determine Course Placement

English, Math and Reading Placement

In order to be fully admitted to the college and eligible to take Academic courses, students under the age of 18 must submit documentation to determine course placement and college readiness. Only ONE form of documentation is required. Different documentation is required depending on a student’s high school level.

Freshman

  • EdReady Test - To complete EdReady test go to maricopa.edready.org (At-Home Online Testing)
  • Reading Accuplacer Test - For information on Accuplacer go to our Course Placement site. (In-Person Proctored Testing)

Sophomore - One of the Following:

  • PSAT or SAT score of 720 or higher OR
  • Composite ACT score of 12 or higher OR
  • Reading Accuplacer Test OR
  • EdReady - To complete EdReady test go to maricopa.edready.org

Juniors and Seniors - One of the Following:

  • Unweighted, cumulative GPA of 2.6 or higher OR
  • PSAT or SAT score of 720 or higher OR
  • Composite ACT score of 12 or higher OR
  • Reading Accuplacer Test OR
  • EdReady - To complete EdReady test go to maricopa.edready.org

Tip:  Some classes have additional pre-requisite or admissions requirements. View your high school's dual enrollment course list for more information. "Occupational" courses do not require placement information for enrollment. To register for class(es), you will need to call the Dual Enrollment team at 480-517-8080.
